Sarah Delaney Vero named general counsel, VP for human resources

Vero, an experienced attorney and human resources professional and 91福利社鈥檚 current strategic HR advisor, has been named inaugural general counsel and vice president for human resources at 91福利社, effective July 10.

Jackson Hornung '23 has big league dreams

There isn鈥檛 much that Jackson Hornung '23 丑补蝉苍鈥檛 already accomplished on the baseball diamond, but Hornung has his sights set higher: Next, he plays in the Cape Cod Baseball League, a favorite destination for pro scouts.

Facilities Services updates

  • Power will be shut off to all main campus buildings for maintenance on the main generator from 6 a.m. to noon on Sunday, June 25. Buildings with back-up generators (North Hall, Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences, the Campus Safety Office in Jonsson Tower, Murray-Aikins Dining Hall, and the Tang Teaching Museum) will be unaffected.
  • Hazard trees will be removed from campus beginning Monday, June 19. Trees will also be removed in the area between the Community Garden and Wiecking Hall in preparation for a new geothermal field starting Wednesday, June 21. Work will continue through the summer.   
  • Blasting for the McCaffery-Wagman Tennis and Wellness Center is scheduled to resume this week and will continue intermittently for several weeks. 
  • Ladd Hall will be closed for the remainder of the summer for construction. 
  • Facilities Services recently received all approved FY 鈥24 capital requests from Financial Services and is also working on FY 鈥24 early release projects, which were approved in February. A representative from Facilities will contact individual departments concerning the schedule and scope of these projects.

Announcements

Summer Bulletin publication schedule  

Through Aug. 23, the Bulletin will be published biweekly and distributed to faculty and staff only. It will also be posted online. Submissions to the Faculty-Staff Achievements section will not be accepted over the summer and will be accepted again in the fall. The Bulletin will be published June 28; July 12 and 26; and Aug. 9 and 23. SWB will resume weekly publication on Aug. 30. Submit by completing the online form. The deadline for all submissions is noon on Monday. Please email swb@skidmore.edu if you have questions.

 

Juneteenth

Wyckoff Center presents Pride 2023

Please visit Wyckoff Center for 鈥淨ueerness in Conversation,鈥 a panel discussion, from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 22. Then from 2 to 3 p.m., Wyckoff Center will hold a Pride Celebration with refreshments served. We welcome everyone to join us for either hour or for both. IT to launch new help ticket system

91福利社IT will be switching to a new help ticket system, Team Dynamix, on Tuesday, June 20.  Once live, Team Dynamix can be accessed by navigating to or by selecting the TDX Client Portal tile in . For more information, please contact the IT Help Desk.

 

Opportunity Program office relocation 

Due to renovations in Ladd Hall, the OP office will be relocated to the fourth floor of Scribner Library starting Monday, June 5. During the month of June, OP staff will be available during regular office hours in the suite of study carrels numbered 445-451.  

 

New issue of Scope magazine 

The new issue of Scope magazine has been distributed on campus. . Please contact James Helicke if you did not receive a copy. 

 

Campus credit union summer hours 

Summer hours for the campus branch of Broadview FCU (formerly SEFCU) are 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. Normal hours will resume in August. 

 

Dining Services

Dining Services is now offering a pop-up grill from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday on Case Walkway. The grill features a menu of hot dogs, burgers (both beef and plant-based), as well as grilled chicken. A combo meal includes your choice of a grill item, two sides, and a beverage. Summer hours for The Spa, Burgess, The Atrium, and Murray-Aikins Dining Hall are available on the Dining Services website.
