EXCITING NEWS!
The Neuroscience Program is happy to announce the creation of the Eleanor B. Ketterer-Sykes ’24 Endowed Student Resource Fund in Neuroscience! This fund was established by Gwyneth Ketterer in honor of her daughter and graduating Neuroscience major, Ellie Ketterer-Sykes (shown below presenting a poster of her research and attending the Hudson-Berkshire Society for Neuroscience conference with other 91¸£ÀûÉçNeuroscience students and faculty members).
This fund will support participation of 91¸£ÀûÉç students pursuing majors or research in Neuroscience in activities that enhance their academic coursework, including research, travel, and participation in conferences. The Fund will also have the flexibility to support equipment and research supplies, depending on student need each year.
This fund will become available to students starting in Fall 2024.

NS Program Events
Upcoming Events:
The Neuroscience Program hosts a number of regular annual events - see below!
Annual NS Program Events:
- Fall Research Fair - as the name implies, this happens each Fall semester, and introduces students to research opportunities in the NS Program. See more about this event (and about research opportunities more generally) HERE.
- Exploremore - this Spring semester event is useful for prospective NS majors who have not yet declared a major. This event provides lots of information about course requirements for the major.
- Academic Festival - this college-wide culminating event happens the day following the last day of classes in the Spring semester. The NS Program's Academic Festival event features poster presentations from senior researchers and a talk by the Hartnett Prize winner.
- Nu Rho Psi Induction Ceremony - this end-of-year event typically happens during Spring semester study days, and officially inducts new members to the 91¸£ÀûÉçchapter of Nu Rho Psi, the national honor society in neuroscience.
- NS Study Breaks - these fun NS community events happen during study days prior to final exams during both Fall and Spring semesters. We play games, eat snacks, and enjoy the traditional Face Cake!
- Research Talks - The NS Program typically hosts 1-2 talks per year by external scientists doing exciting work in Neuroscience. Here are a few posters from past talks:
